David Chernoff

Raised as a second-generation Messianic Jew, David Chernoff has a fortunate background not many Jewish children can claim. His parents, Martin and Yohanna Chernoff, were pioneers in the Messianic Movement. They served the Lord for over 40 years bringing Messiah Yeshua (Jesus in Hebrew) to the Jewish People. They also started one of the first Messianic synagogues of the modern Messianic Movement in 1970. As a "PK," (Preacher's Kid) - or as we say in the Messianic Movement a "RK" (Rabbi's Kid) - Rabbi Chernoff came to know the Lord at a prayer meeting during the time of the Jesus Movement Revival in the late 60's and early 70's. It was at this prayer meeting, when he was 19 years old, that he was both dramatically saved and filled with the Holy Spirit. During college David received God's calling to labor full-time with the Jewish students on the campuses.

Rabbi Chernoff's background in the ministry includes: Over ten years ministering on the college campuses with Jewish students. Twenty-five years involvement with the Messianic Movement both nationally and internationally. Leader of Congregation Beth Yeshua in Philadelphia, a Messianic synagogue that was founded in 1975 and currently has a membership of 350 people. Host of "Messianic Judaism Today" television program, formerly on Sonlight Broadcasting. President of Kesher Ministries International, a multifaceted outreach ministry that proclaims the "Good News" to Jewish People, and seeks to strengthen and minister to Messianic congregations throughout the world. Author of several publications including the book "Yeshua The Messiah" and the popular booklet "7-Steps to Knowing The God Of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob."

Rabbi Chernoff is also involved in the leadership of the Messianic Movement both nationally and internationally, serving on the Executive Committees of the Messianic Jewish Alliance of America, the International Alliance of Messianic Congregations and Synagogues and the International Messianic Jewish Alliance. He is also a key speaker for the Promise Keepers and is on the board of the Toward Jerusalem Council II. Rabbi Chernoff and those ministering with him are looking forward with great expectation to seeing a great revival among both Jews and Gentiles alike in the next few years. His ministry is moving ahead in bringing the message of salvation to the Jewish people through evangelism teams, literature and a television program, as the Lord opens the doors.

Rabbi Chernoff currently lives in Philadelphia with his wife Debra and their three children, Danielle, Jonathan and Ari. ???
